Yeah its not working for me (and I have games like farcry on my pc). The quality is very hard to see. I cant even pick up the flashlight. Cant go through the door.

I am very sorry to hear that. Can you descibe what is actually happening? Given your listed problems, I am guessing low frame rate. If that's the case, try going to the settings and lowering the quality. Although, you did say it is hard to see, which happens when your quality is LOW (Light bouncing gets disabled). If your problem is low fps, try lowering the graphics ettings, if your problem is NOT low FPS, but rather the game being too dark, set your quality of to high (and insure you have turned on the lights, using a light switch on the wall).
Hope either of these solutions help, again, sorry to hear you are frustrated. It's pretty frustrating for me too, hearing people not being able to enjoy our games, because of a factor making it unplayable for them.

The game was made in UE5.5 which has a pretty high minimal standart for an amature programmer like myself. I will do my best to make a lot of optimasation for the upcoming update, but in the mean time, I am afraid it will be unplayable.
I been enjoying this game since i saw it on tiktok and i decided to try it myself and i noticed that when it comes to andy he just doesnt appear for me i tried leaving the game and opening it again and even starting a new game but andy just refuses to appear meaning i cant progress i think it might be a bug

The game is still missing from the page. I am pretty much giving up on trying to get it back. Even if deindexing is such a simple problem, that can very likely be fixed with a change of a boolean variable. The admins don't seem to care, as they have too much on their plate. Although, I do feel a bit ignored on the discord server, given that there are about 1-3 messages per day sometimes. (Of course, the actual help service they provide is filled to the brim with problems from users. A lot of them have the same problem as I do.)
Even then, you managed to reach this milestone! Thank you people so much! Must say, the update have been held for a little bit. Given that I have focused on a another small title. (Even if Play Things & Burning Eye titles SHOULD be my priority, I do procrastinate easily D;) Still, the update will come. To beat Lily, you need to hide under the table and cover yourself with cardboard by holding F. When you hear Lily's singing is getting safely far away enough, you get out under the table and make it to the chair ASAP and interact with the chair
I am certain that the Endless Mode will come out later than in 2025, but it is being work on, although, it has come to a somewhat hold recently. There will be no other gamemode, just fixes and some updates. The endless mode update will pretty much be a free whole DLC, with more content then the original game, because of the replay ability, and the fact that it is endless. After that will be finished, and some patches will be made, we will move on to our upcoming NEW title, that has been in the works even before the writing for Play Things started!
Hi I have some questions about the graphics of the wall. I seen like fuzzy and it hard for me to see and I try edit to low shadows or light it just make it worst I just not want see any dots or shadow. There a way to fix it?
Hello! Unfortunately, no, the dots you are referring to are just the game's shader (post process), that and the fact that it has a moasic style (it is semi-pixelated, like an old PS game). I am planning on adding more post process options in the upcoming update, but in the 1.2.7's, the style is unchangeable, you can only tamper with lights and shadows. I am sorry that you find the shader unpleasant, I understand how that can ruin the atmosphere.
Loved the concept, the story and the atmosphere. Had fun playing and trying to get all the ending. The hide and seek part did had me sweating to figure out whether she was close or not. Do you plan to release it on steam as well?
What's the system requirements for this game? You may be surprised but i have an old HP laptop with Intel Celeron N3060 4gb ram DDR3 and some intel graphics with 128 v ram and I want to play your game!
These are the minimum specs required. But usually, the most important aspect is your graphics driver. Sometimes updating it to the latest version can help, but it is not guaranteed. I am sorry that you are unable to reach these with your setup. I only know how to make full games in UE, but it does have relatively high standarts (especially for such a not-heavy looking game. If possible, I will check if it can be altered for the future, but I highly doubt it. Even if you did run the game on your setup, it would likely run terribly, to the point of it being unplayable)

Hi! If you are referring to the Audio Test, in order to do the test, you must place the doll in the testing chamber room (room with the metal door and a big window). Once the doll is placed, go to the computer, interact with it, hit run tests => Audio => Play Audio Test.
Ah, I see! The burning eye youtube channel has a playlist with all the songs from the game, that I have decided to upload. The audio test music is a song that I have made myself, using the public domain melody of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but because I am not certain that it is fully public domain (even though it is from the 18th century), I decided not to upload that one. The song "40", also includes this melody, but it has so many other sounds and instruments playing, I felt comfortable enough to post it.

Hi! During Lily's game of hide and seek, you need to LISTEN. When hiding under the table, you can hear Lily sing to hearself and her voice gets louder / quiter based on how far she is (she can also be heard in your heaphones, panned to the left or right). Go out when she is on the right, not guarding the door and touch the chair in the testing chamber to beat her in her game! I wish you good luck!

I had an amazing time playing Play Things! The concept of inspecting dolls to determine if they're haunted is both unique and chilling. Each doll has its own backstory and personality, making the experience feel fresh and engaging. The atmosphere is tense, and the subtle horror elements kept me on edge throughout.

I checked the specs, and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to bring down the requirements with the engine I use (that being Unreal Engine 5). I am sorry, but the optimization part, while it will be expanded, you'll very likely not be able to run the game on this device
Which specs are the problems? I was given my laptop by someone known from family who works as tech, so might be modified, IDK If those specs are improved from the regular model.
From what I've found, this laptop has a Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics card, which is way below UE5 standard, also, 8 GB RAM is below the recommended, but that's not the main issue. I'd say the graphics card, used b this laptop, is just not strong enough to run our game. I am sorry about this, but given the engine we use, this will not change.

Hello! Just wanted to let you know about a situation that happened to me and a few other developers on itch.io. (By today, it has been resolved) Our games were stolen and re-uploaded. It was our projects with the same name and the user who reuploaded these games also put the games behind a pay wall. It's a scam. This may also be the reason why you cannot find Play Things on the itch.io browser. Everyone who is reading this got to this page via direct link, unless it has been fixed.
But there are good news. I would like to show gratitude towards lyn-marie / charlene (as they are known as on discord). This game is still de-indexed and I will talk to them about it, but I want to give it time, since they clearly have a lot on their plate. They responded to many people on the itch.io discord, and they have shown clear signs of interest and they have been extremly helpful to a lot of people, myself included.
They are the admin of the official itch.io discord server, and I just wanted to write this comment to really show how nice it is to see someone show interest and help however they can, even if so many people need it at once.

I had an amazing time playing Play Things! The concept of inspecting dolls to determine if they're haunted is both unique and chilling. Each doll has its own backstory and personality, making the experience feel fresh and engaging. The atmosphere is tense, and the subtle horror elements kept me on edge throughout.

will this be optimized more? (HP EliteBook 840 G6, crashes at random point, before actually can start playing, after starting game)
I checked the specs, and I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to bring down the requirements with the engine I use (that being Unreal Engine 5). I am sorry, but the optimization part, while it will be expanded, you'll very likely not be able to run the game on this device
Which specs are the problems? I was given my laptop by someone known from family who works as tech, so might be modified, IDK If those specs are improved from the regular model.
From what I've found, this laptop has a Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics card, which is way below UE5 standard, also, 8 GB RAM is below the recommended, but that's not the main issue. I'd say the graphics card, used b this laptop, is just not strong enough to run our game. I am sorry about this, but given the engine we use, this will not change.
The idea of judging dolls through five eerie tests was both creative and unsettling, with each character adding depth to the story.

Hello! Just wanted to let you know about a situation that happened to me and a few other developers on itch.io. (By today, it has been resolved) Our games were stolen and re-uploaded. It was our projects with the same name and the user who reuploaded these games also put the games behind a pay wall. It's a scam. This may also be the reason why you cannot find Play Things on the itch.io browser. Everyone who is reading this got to this page via direct link, unless it has been fixed.
But there are good news. I would like to show gratitude towards lyn-marie / charlene (as they are known as on discord). This game is still de-indexed and I will talk to them about it, but I want to give it time, since they clearly have a lot on their plate. They responded to many people on the itch.io discord, and they have shown clear signs of interest and they have been extremly helpful to a lot of people, myself included.
They are the admin of the official itch.io discord server, and I just wanted to write this comment to really show how nice it is to see someone show interest and help however they can, even if so many people need it at once.
